Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush said two state action plans have been approved by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for over $285 million in Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery funds.
The Economic Development Administration has released $7.2 million in CARES Act funding to 12 economic development agencies across Texas to provide assistance grants to small businesses to help them survive the COVID-19 pandemic, with the Lower Rio Grande Valley Development Council being awarded $400,000.
