Frank Parker Jr. has been reappointed by Gov. Greg Abbott as presiding officer of the Cameron County Regional Mobility Authority.
Abbott reappointed Parker to serve a term that will expire on Feb. 1, 2022, according to a press release from the governor's office.
The Cameron County Regional Mobility Authority lets planning and project delivery leaders partner with the State of Texas for transportation infrastructure projects. The projects brought to Texas through this partnership will also serve Cameron County.
Parker is the president and CEO of Parker & Co., a South Texas Manufacturing Association board member, a National Association of Customers Broker Forwarders Freight Forwarding Committee member, and a member of the McAllen and Brownsville Chamber of Commerce board.
He has also served as the former president of the Brownsville Propeller Club and the former chairman of the Brownsville Economic Development Council and the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce. Parker was a board member of the Border Trade Alliance as well.
Parker has a bachelor's of business administration from the University of Texas.
