On January 23, Rep. Gonzalez's team attended a groundbreaking ceremony for a new lift station in Weslaco. He stated that "This new lift station will provide needed improvements to the city’s wastewater management and preventing backups from occurring." The congressman expressed his congratulations on this development which aims to keep Weslaco "a city on the grow."
Later that day, Rep. Gonzalez announced that his office presented a flag and congressional certificate to Ms. Barbara Rodriguez for her recognition as the City of Los Fresnos’ 2024 Citizen of the Year. He congratulated her publicly, stating "Congratulations, Ms. Rodriguez, on being named the City of Los Fresnos’ 2024 Citizen of the Year!"
On January 24, Rep. Gonzalez reported attending another groundbreaking event for the Mayor Joe V. Sanchez Public Library expansion in Weslaco.
