Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas' 34th district since 2017, has been active on social media sharing recent events and achievements in his constituency. His posts highlight community engagement, support for rural businesses, and educational accomplishments.

On November 26, 2024, Rep. Gonzalez shared his participation in the Weslaco community's annual Christmas Tree Lighting event. He expressed joy at celebrating the season with families coming together to kick off the holidays. "Team Gonazlez joined the Weslaco community for their annual Christmas Tree Lighting! It’s always a joy to celebrate the season and see families come together to kick off the holidays."

Later that day, Rep. Gonzalez announced a significant development for small businesses in rural Texas counties. The United States Department of Agriculture awarded Communities Unlimited $98,000 to provide technical assistance across 58 rural counties in Texas, benefiting over 870,000 Texans. On November 28, Rep. Gonzalez recognized Ortiz Elementary School in Brownsville ISD for its educational achievements. The school earned the ESEA Distinguished Performance Award and ranked 50th among 6,609 schools in Texas according to U.S News rankings.
