Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 34th district, shared insights on his recent engagements and advocacy efforts through a series of tweets. Gonzalez has been an active voice in Congress since 2017, succeeding Rubén Hinojosa. Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, he holds degrees from Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University and Texas Wesleyan University.

On February 12, 2025, Rep. Gonzalez expressed gratitude to his colleague Rep. Espaillat for inviting him to the "7th Annual Dominicans on the Hill event." He emphasized the significance of Dominican and Latino representation in society by stating: "Thank you to my friend @RepEspaillat for inviting me to the 7th Annual Dominicans on the Hill event. It was my pleasure to speak on how important Dominican and Latino representation is in our society, now more than ever."

Later that day, Gonzalez attended the Syrian American Alliance for Peace and Prosperity Conference. He highlighted the importance of supporting Syria's transition towards democracy: "It was great to be a part of the Syrian American Alliance for Peace and Prosperity Conference. We must support a peaceful transition of power and ensure a viable economic path for a new and allied Syrian democracy."

On February 14, 2025, Rep. Gonzalez reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for South Texas as part of his role with the Blue Dog Coalition: "As a Blue Dog, I'm always proud to fight for South Texas and bring common sense solutions to Congress. Happy 30th!"
