Vicente Gonzalez, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas' 34th district, recently shared his insights and activities through a series of tweets. On February 20, 2025, Gonzalez tweeted about an interview with Noticias RGV where he discussed topics such as DOGE cryptocurrency, executive orders by former President Trump, and immigration. Later that day, Gonzalez highlighted concerns regarding potential disruptions in mail services crucial for South Texas seniors, veterans, and rural residents who depend on USPS for essential deliveries like Social Security benefits and medication: "South Texas seniors, veterans, and rural residents rely on @USPS for Social Security and Medicare benefits..."
