Sandbag

City of La Feria issued the following announcement on July 27.

This is to inform our residents that the City of La Feria personnel, resources and assets are ready to be activated due to the approaching storm. This storm will produce a lot of rain and we ask for you to remain in the safety of your home.

Our public works department crews continue to clean city drainage systems. Also, in cooperation with the La Feria Irrigation District, crews have been assisting with the cleanup of irrigation system ditches.

Over the last two months approximately 700 sandbags have been distributed to our residents. Tomorrow we will continue to provide sandbags at the city warehouse from 8:00am to 12:00noon, please bring a photo identification.

In the event of any power outages, we remind those residents dependent on critical health devices such as portable oxygen equipment to have adequate backup capacity.

As always, our police and fire departments continue to be available and ready to respond to our citizens.
