Vicente Gonzalez, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas' 34th district, recently shared updates on various engagements through a series of tweets. Serving in Congress since 2017, Gonzalez replaced former member Rubén Hinojosa. Born in 1967 in Corpus Christi, Texas, and currently residing in McAllen, Gonzalez has academic credentials from Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University and Texas Wesleyan University.

On April 12, 2025, Congressman Gonzalez posted about a meeting with the National Roofing Contractors Association, stating "It was a pleasure to meet with the National Roofing Contractors Association to discuss ways to create more jobs for South Texans and strengthen our construction industry!"

Later the same day, he addressed economic concerns related to egg prices, tweeting, "Egg prices continue to rise. Yet another engagement emphasized expanding access to national parks, as he tweeted, "Team Gonzalez was honored to meet with the @NPCA! It’s always a pleasure to discuss ways to expand visitor and tourist access to our Texas National Parks."

Gonzalez, aged 55, brings forth his perspectives on bolstering the economic and environmental frameworks impacting his district. Through his academic background and political journey, he further enhances his role in shaping local and national policies.
