Vicente Gonzalez, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas' 34th district since 2017, has recently expressed his views on various pressing issues through a series of tweets. Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, and currently residing in McAllen, Gonzalez is an alumnus of Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University and Texas Wesleyan University.

On March 20, 2025, Gonzalez addressed the ongoing hostage situation involving Hamas. He stated: "For 531 days, Hamas has held 59 people, including five Americans, hostage. We must bring every one of them home. I condemn Hamas for once again rejecting American offers to extend the ceasefire by freeing more hostages. The terror group is responsible for this war and what’s".

The following day, March 21, 2025, he voiced his support for Social Security recipients alongside over sixty House Democrats. He criticized the Trump Administration's proposed cuts to phone services at the Social Security Administration amidst increasing backlogs and wait times: "This week, I was proud to join 60+ @HouseDemocrats colleagues in standing up for Social Security recipients. The Trump Administration wants to cut phone services at the Social Security Administration. At a time when there’s increased backlogs and wait times, we should be making".

On March 22, 2025, Gonzalez emphasized the importance of supporting education in South Texas while opposing any efforts to dismantle the Department of Education: "Dismantling the Department of Education will only hurt South Texas students. We need to support our educators and ensure our children have everything they need to succeed. I will continue to fight for more federal funding for South Texas schools."
