Representative Vicente Gonzalez, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 34th district, has been active on social media sharing various initiatives and events he is involved in. Known for his dedication to his constituents, Gonzalez recently took to Twitter to share details about his ongoing projects and achievements.

On February 7, 2025, Gonzalez tweeted about a community initiative titled "Valentines for Vets." Later that day, Gonzalez expressed his views on border security at a press conference organized by the Hispanic Caucus. In his tweet from February 7, he stated: "I was pleased to speak at the @HispanicCaucus press conference on border security. I will always stand against the deportation of our veterans who served honorably in the armed forces and protect Dreamers. We must also protect sensitive locations – no one should be afraid of…" This highlights his stance on protecting both veterans and Dreamers while addressing border security issues.

The following day, February 8, Gonzalez celebrated a legislative achievement with public servants at Weslaco City Hall. He tweeted: "On Monday, I celebrated the enactment of the Social Security Fairness Act with retired teachers, firefighters, police officers, and customs agents at Weslaco City Hall. This is a hard-fought victory for our South Texas public servants!" The Social Security Fairness Act represents a significant policy success aimed at benefiting retirees from various public service sectors.
