Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, U.S. Representative for Texas’s 34th congressional district, has recently highlighted local community efforts and public safety issues through a series of posts on his social media account.

On August 28, 2025, Rep. Gonzalez posted about honoring the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Corpus Christi for their actions during recent natural disasters: “Team Gonzalez was honored to present a U.S. Flag and Certificate to the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Corpus Christi for their heroic service during the Hill Country floods. Their courage and dedication reminds us of the selfless people who step up and protect our communities in times”.

The following day, August 29, he warned South Texas residents about fraudulent calls targeting older adults: “South TexasScam calls targeting our senior citizens are on the rise. Be careful if you receive a call offering a better deal on Medicare.

Rep. Vicente Gonzalez has represented Texas’s 34th district after winning consecutive general elections against Mayra Flores—first in 2022 with approximately 52.7% of the vote and again in 2024 with roughly 51.3% support.
