How many white students were enrolled in Brooks County ISD schools in 2022-23 school year?

There were 30 white students enrolled in Brooks County ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 3.4% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Brooks County ISD schools welcomed 1,285 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 2.3% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Brooks County ISD roughly covers schools within Brooks County and has a main office in Falfurrias.

Among the five schools in Brooks County ISD schools, Falfurrias High School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 10 students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
