City of Brownsville issued the following announcement on April 28.
United Against Hunger, a local campaign to provide meals and emergency food for families in need, will hold first mass food distribution every Friday. This initiative also serves as a hiring force, employing many restaurant industry workers who are furloughed due to the COVID-19 regulations.

Food distribution begins at 8:00AM (until supplies last)
Guidelines:
• Two family members maximum per vehicle
• Must bring a photo ID
• Must wear a mask to receive donations
• All donations will be placed in the trunk of the car; the trunk must be clear of any items.

Pedestrian Entrance: Manzano St.
