Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, a U.S. Congressman from Texas, recently posted several updates on his official Twitter account regarding new federal developments and community outreach efforts.
On August 23, 2025, Gonzalez expressed gratitude for recent executive action: “I thank the Administration for issuing a Presidential Permit for pedestrian lanes at the Gateway Bridge. This is a great example of how bipartisan support can deliver real results for everyone involved.”
In subsequent posts on August 24, 2025, he announced an upcoming event to assist constituents with federal agency issues. In English, he wrote: “Team Gonzalez will be hosting Neighborhood Hours on September 3rd, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. CT at Combes City Hall. If you are experiencing any issues with a federal agency, we’re here to help!”
Vicente Gonzalez has represented Texas in Congress after winning competitive elections against Mayra Flores in both 2022 and 2024; in the most recent contest he secured victory by receiving approximately 51% of the vote compared to Flores’ roughly 49%. These victories have helped solidify his position as an incumbent lawmaker serving South Texas communities.
