Helen Kerwin, a Republican elected in 2025 to represent Texas House District 58, continues to use her social media platform to communicate legislative priorities and recent developments at the Texas Capitol.

On August 25, 2025, Kerwin reiterated her commitment to property tax reform, stating, “Still working to get bills on the House floor. I’ll never stop trying to Eliminate Property Tax!”

Later that same day, Kerwin expressed frustration over a failed effort in the Texas House. She posted on August 25, “I am extremely disappointed that the motion to censure the Democrats who abandoned the Texas House to break quorum has failed. These members knowingly violated House Rule 5, Section 3—a rule they themselves voted for—by being absent without leave in order to stop the people’s”.

Two days later, on August 27, Kerwin highlighted what she described as a significant policy development. She wrote: ” A HUGE WIN FOR MEDICAL FREEDOM IN TEXAS! The Texas House has passed HB 25, a @MakeTXHealthy @TXforVaxChoice priority! Thanks to the tireless work of my friend @joannefortexans , Texans will soon be able to access IVERMECTIN over the counter! Special thanks to”.

Kerwin succeeded DeWayne Burns as representative for District 58 after her election in 2025.
